Woke up to see the total #lunar eclipse. Perfect view. Very cool. Time for some Pink Floyd.

The peak of the eclipse was at 3:17 am. Here’s how it looked, as taken by someone with a good camera.

Middle of totality: 3:16 AM (One minute before greatest eclipse) - Winter Solstice Total Lunar Eclipse

And a great time lapse video.

My camera couldn’t capture it when it was fully eclipsed, but I got a couple blurry, distant shots when it reverted to a partial eclipse.

The last time a total lunar eclipse happened on the winter solstice was 1638 and the next one is in 2094.
