I first listened to parts of Einstein on the Beach on a cassette tape I high school. To see it tonight at BAM was a great pleasure.
Of the three Philip Glass operas I’ve seen, this is my favorite. Even
though it’s the oldest one and I’m seeing it last, it still feels
modern and radical.
think that was the point. The music, the movements, and the sets were
entrancing unto themselves.

Best meal of this trip was at Duck & Waffle
On the 40th floor of Heron Tower in London, the views are stunning and
are justification enough to eat here. You’d figure at any place like
this the food would be an afterthought, but it is surprisingly
innovative and good.
since they still had some hairs on them, but they were delicious and
my favorite part of the meal.

Lovely afternoon watching the Paralympics at Olympic Park yesterday with @katieannebaby
Saw Japan beat China in the women’s finals of goal ball, where teams of 3 blind players try to get a noisy ball past the other side; Russia beat Brazil in the men’s semifinal match in 7 person football (soccer); and USA trounce France in a early round of wheelchair rugby, which was the most fun to watch.
Perfect day to be outside.

Knock this off the bucket list: Foam party in Ibiza.
It was ridiculous. Better than I expected. The foam was nonstop until
the water rose above my waist, and several times I had to get out
because I was drowning in suds and couldn’t breathe. And all the
while your dancing.
